THE BOOKWORMERY
Fear, loathing, AI and more!
Hello new followers and subscribers! There has been a bit of an influx over the last week or so, so thank you very much for trying out The Bookwormery. I hope you like what you find and decide to stick around.
This week, in amongst marvelling at my first hollyhock blooms of the year and becoming obsessed with my new birdsong app (Merlin - O.B.S.E.S.S.E.D.) I have been fulfilling my daily word quota for the wretched book and dwelling with growing fury on AI as a (part) consequence. You will find some raging thoughts beneath the paywall, along with others of a more pacific variety on the phenomenon of “booksmaxxing” and on books as man-repellers, plus the usual recommendations and bits and pieces.
I hope you are surviving the heat. I think I’ve got about another hour left in me before I die. If it wasn’t for the hollyhocks, I would be begging for winter.
Happy reading.
Love,
Lucy x
